Samu Omorodion’s transfer to Chelsea FC is a done deal. As Fabrizio Romano reports, the Blues have agreed with Atlético Madrid on a transfer of the 20-year-old attacker for the equivalent of around 40 million euros. The Spaniard is signing a contract in London until 2031, and his medical check is expected to take place shortly.

Omorodion is currently playing for his home country at the Olympic Games, where his team will face France in the final on Friday (6 p.m.). The deal is to be finalized after the tournament. According to Romano, several clubs tried to get involved shortly before the agreement was reached, including double winners Bayer Leverkusen. However, the center forward had already agreed on the transfer with Chelsea for some time.
