Graffignana scores the coup of the year! After a few seasons of inactivity, former Serie A striker Alessandro Matri will return to the field in the Second Category alongside his old friends. This time permanently, after an appearance with the same shirt in November 2022, valid for the Csi Amateur championship. The club is preparing to welcome the prodigal son who grew up in the village and has become a point of reference for many young people: «I am happy to make myself available and spend time with my lifelong friends», says Matri without making too many proclamations. Childhood friend Marco D’Angelo sits on the Graffignana bench, while the locker room will be shared with his great friend Federico Bardoni and his cousin Mattia Sari. The club, founded in 2013 on the proposal of Matri himself who is its honorary president, has in its coat of arms a clear reference to the former striker of the national team, Juventus and Milan, pleasantly nicknamed “Puma” by his fellow villagers. Alessandro could make his debut as early as Saturday evening at 8.30pm, when Graffignana welcomes Guardamiglio in the first match of the sixth matchday of the championship.
