Action day in the sports hall is a complete success – Kirchheim

The second “Games, Fun, Action” day in the Walter Jacob sports hall at the Schlossgymnasium turned out to be a complete success. Organized by “BePart!”, the children and youth participation group, the event offered a colorful mix of breakdance, parkour, hockey and judo and invited people to take part and try things out.

Creativity and skill

Around 200 children took the opportunity to have fun and let off steam with various activities. The kids were able to demonstrate their skills and creativity in breakdancing, while they tested their skills and endurance in parkour. The VfL Kirchheim judo units were particularly popular and gave the children the chance to gain their first experience in martial arts.

The happy atmosphere and the many smiling faces showed how much fun the participants had in the activities. The “BePart!” members also put together a great team of supervisors and trainers who ensured safety and fun.

Thanks to the commitment of “BePart!” and the support of the multi-generational house Linde, sponsored by the Esslingen district youth association, the “Games, Fun, Action” day was an unforgettable experience for the children. The day of action was supported by the federal project “Living Democracy” and the city of Kirchheim.

Kids enjoy movement

“The ‘Play, Fun, Action’ day shows how much joy children have in exercise and joint activities. Such an event creates a great opportunity to try new things. With ‘BePart!’ Young people have the opportunity to implement their project ideas, and that’s really fun!” says Vroni Hildebrand, who is responsible for local children and youth participation in Kirchheim.

“BePart!” is recognized as the official organ for children and youth participation in Kirchheim and replaces the youth council. Vroni Hildebrand is the central contact person and coordinates the “BePart!” projects in close coordination with the city’s social affairs department under the direction of Brigitte Hartmann-Theel.

The name “BePart!” not only stands for the terms “involvement” and “participation”, but is also intended to actively encourage young people in Kirchheim to be part of the community and help shape their city.
