The Puente Genil City Council and the Puente Genil Basketball Club have signed the collaboration agreement for the carrying out of their sports activities to be carried out this year, an event that was attended by the mayor, Sergio Velasco; the delegate councilor for Sports, Rafael Ruiz, and the president of the entity, Francisco Cabezas.
According to the agreement, the entity will receive 50,000 euros, an amount that will be used to cover the expenses derived from their respective federated competitions, open basketball practice days, coexistence activities such as the Cerro Muriano Divercampus or the Summer School, as well as the celebration of the “Memorial Miguel Castilla” Regional Basketball Tournament.
The Puente Genil Basketball Club has a total of 155 players participating in different competitions – from senior to base categories. The entity also develops activities to promote basketball that attract a very varied audience and with which everyone, young and old, discovers that sport in general and basketball in particular can be conceived as a fundamental habit. healthy living; as well as one of the most valid tools for the personal, physical, emotional and social development of those who practice it, promoting attitudes of social integration, identification with a group, learning teamwork, camaraderie, joint effort, fight for a common goal , or help your partner.
The club in turn undertakes to carry the City Council logo on all the kits of all its teams and on the posters of the activities or meetings they carry out. Through this agreement, it is intended to support the existing sports associations and give continuity to the action programs that they have been developing, in their specific modalities, as sole promoters of said programs in our town.
