Hunting for the first external success. The start of the season Virtus Neupharma Imola promises well. In the first three championship matches, two victories have arrived on the PalaRuggi parquet while the yellow and blacks are still looking for two points away from the friendly walls. On Saturday 12 October at 6pm, Gianluigi Galetti‘s troop will be guests of Pallacanestro Vicenza. Civitus is still at zero in the standings and has just returned from the clear defeat with a score of 82-63 on the Forensic Legnano field. The team coached by Alberto Cogo, on the last day of the championship, fielded the point guard Valerio Cucchiaro, the guards/wings Gian Paolo Almansi and Mattia Da Campo, the wing/center Federico Ucles Belmonte and the center Curtis Nwohuocha.

«The balance of the first three days is positive. At the debut we had a good performance with San Vendemiano, which is one of the favorite teams to win the championship. In the midweek in Mestre we played two and a half quarters with the other team that the bookmakers say are candidates for the category jump. Against Piacenza, however, we played an excellent match. We are working hard and are ready for this trip to Vicenza. We will be playing against a roster that will try to bounce back given that they are coming off three consecutive defeats. Our squad is complete and the boys are all well apart from some minor cases of flu, but we are training well.”
