Still in the Nations League: Greeks honor deceased teammate with stunt at Wembley, Haaland celebrates record and baby

It wasn’t just the Red Devils that provided a fascinating evening of football. Erling Haaland was crowned Norway‘s record scorer in the Nations League. England surprisingly lost against Greece, which honored the deceased 12-time international George Baldock.

Haaland record shooter

Another record in his name.

Against Slovenia, Erling Haaland was crowned Norway’s all-time record scorer with two goals. That brings his total to 34 goals in just 36 international matches. At just 24 years old, Haaland surpasses Jørgen Juve, who scored 33 times almost a century ago.

The phenomenon also had something to celebrate: after the match Haaland announced that he will soon become a father for the first time.

England lose against Greece

An emotional Sirtaki at Wembley. Greece pulled off the stunt of the Nations League evening by beating England. Vangelis Pavlidis crowned the absolute match winner with two goals after the break.

During the celebrations, the Greek players honored their late compatriot and ex-teammate George Baldock, who died unexpectedly earlier this week and was last with the selection in March. The moment left no one untouched.

Also this: Bukayo Saka had to leave early in the second half with an injury.
