Born in Reggio Calabria, Suraci, a strong and experienced center, took his first steps in Lumaka before training with Nuova Jolly where, in addition to qualifying for numerous national category finals, he managed to grow by also playing in the old C series national. His good performances have taken him since 2013 to Sicily, in C, at Peppino Cocuzza, then back to Calabria, where he won the D with Val Gallico Basket before returning to C, between Vis Reggio, Bim Bum Rende and Enjoy Lamezia. Sicily again, with the Torrenovese Basketball jersey, where he contributed to the conquest of Serie B, and then played as a protagonist in Serie C with Pallacanestro Viola and Vis Reggio Calabria. Three years ago the promotion with Matera, two years ago the one with Canusium – first adventure in Puglia -, last year the adventure in Francavilla. Now the arrival in Molfetta, «a place chosen because I immediately felt the trust of the environment – said Suraci -. The project, then, is the right mix of young people and experienced players that we will have to be good at getting off the ground in the right way.”
The latest arrival at President Solimini’s court is a center of experience and position who can give a lot to the cause of coach Gesmundo’s team in physical and technical terms. «We all set ourselves the main objective of growing and building something together – he continued -.
