A new edition of the Cáceres Provincial Council Basketball and Futsal Trophies begins

This Thursday, October 10, they were presented by the deputy delegate of Sports of the Provincial Council of Cáceres, Pablo López, together with the Secretary General of the Extremadura Basketball Federation, Jorge Santos Pulido, and the Spokesperson of the Extremadura Football Federation , Juan Carlos Jiménez Parejo, four trophies for which the council has been strongly betting for decades; the XXXVII Men’s Cáceres Provincial Basketball Trophy and the XXX Women’s Cáceres Provincial Basketball Trophy, and the XXV Cáceres Provincial Men’s Provincial Futsal League Trophy and the XXI edition in the women’s category.

The deputy announced during his speech that in the next budgets it is planned to increase the amount allocated to federations, associations and sports clubs by 50,000 euros, reaching up to 250,000 euros. “With these tournaments and the increase in this subsidy we want to invest even more in the rural world, the teams and the people of the towns that play in these competitions,” he explained.

Cáceres Provincial Basketball Trophies

On October 20, the Basketball Trophy begins, both male and female, with 500 athletes, where teams from Arroyo de la Luz, Coria, Moraleja, Talayuela, Malpartida de Cáceres, Cáceres, Malpartida de Plasencia and Plasencia will participate.

Regarding these competitions, the general secretary of the Federation wanted to highlight, while recognizing the problems in forming women’s teams, that this year they have managed to register four more teams in this category.

Provincial Council of Cáceres Futsal Trophies

A total of 33 teams will participate in the Provincial Men’s Indoor Soccer League. It is played by the double-round league system, with the first-place finishers in each group advancing to the final phase.

These teams will also participate in the Extremeña First Division competition. Together with the teams from the province of Badajoz, to save travel costs, 6 groups of 9 and 10 teams have been created, reaching a record number of teams of 58.

In this competition there will be two phases, the first regular league and the second play off phase for the title and promotion to the 3rd Futsal Division. The most important thing about this competition is what has been achieved: we have the only Extremaduran representative in DH: PUBLIJAIME JARAIZ and in the Third National Futsal Division of the 16 teams, 8 are from the province of Cáceres, among them AD FS Ferroluz stream.

For its part, a total of 6 teams have signed up for the Provincial Women’s Indoor Soccer League.
