The Schumacher scandal. Threats, physical assault and the police

Recently, the Schumachers appear in the media more often than they would probably like. The family, which is famous for strictly protecting its privacy, is now washing its dirty laundry in public instead. Their son has now joined the dispute between Ralf Schumacher and his ex-wife Cora, who published shocking information about his mother.

While in the past thirteen years the Schumacher family tried to be as inconspicuous as possible, now for some reason they seem to have decided to do the exact opposite. In recent months, they have regularly drawn a lot of attention to themselves, and everything indicates that they will not end it just like that.

The brother of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion Ralf Schumacher kicked things off a bit on July 14 this year when he decided to publicly come out and announce that he is gay. This caused an uproar not only because of his surname, but also because he was previously married to model Cora-Caroline Brinkmann, with whom he now has a grown-up son, David, 22, who is following in the racing footsteps of his dad and his more famous brother Michael.

And it was the ex-wife who decided not to leave the whole thing without her comment. Therefore, she told the German media that she did not know about his homosexuality at all, although there were certain indications in the past and she repeatedly asked him about it. She also stated that she now doubts whether Ralf ever loved her at all, did not hook her up with other men and actually only use her to get a son.

However, this set in motion a case that is de facto running to this day. Ralf himself was the first to speak out, sharing on his Instagram private messages between Cora and his current partner from 2023, from which it is evident that his ex-wife must have known about Schumacher’s homosexuality at least a year before his coming out. But then he preferred to delete his post. The ex-wife, who became the victim of haters and accusations that her marriage to Ralf was in fact arranged from the beginning, spoke on that account again.

No more hiding. Ralf Schumacher and his partner romantically frolicked on a yacht

The common son of the ex-spouses, David, has refused to comment on the parents’ dispute until now. However, his mother Cora and Schumacher’s grandmother and mother-in-law Ingrid Brinkmann began to talk to the media about intimate details of the marriage, among other things. “Of course he slept with Cora. That’s why we all thought it was an ugly rumor that Ralf was gay,” Ingrid told the Bild newspaper, among other things. Now it seems that the son has hit the soot and has decided to publish shocking details about his mother and his childhood.

David Schumacher described how his mother wanted to kill herself and him

He published a comprehensive statement in his stories on Instagram, which he later deleted. Apparently because he got a warning from his mother’s lawyer. However, a number of fans managed to take a picture of it and it is now circulating on social networks. “Initially I didn’t want to say anything about family matters, because our private disputes have no business in public. However, my mother refuses to close the whole thing peacefully, so she gives me no choice but to end it all: Honestly, I just want to live my life in peace and achieve my goals without journalists asking me all the time about everything from my mother blames me and my father,” David Schumacher began his text.

“Unfortunately, my mother has suffered from mental health problems for as long as I can remember. When I was four or five years old, she wanted to put me in the passenger seat and drive me into a tree in the car to end it all. Fortunately, a close family friend was with us at the time, and he hid all the car keys so we couldn’t get into any of the cars,” Michael Schumacher’s nephew described how his mother allegedly wanted to commit suicide, killing him as well. He also described a vacation with her when she was 13, when she had a nervous breakdown and had to be hospitalized in an insane asylum. However, the problems did not end there.

David Schumacher allegedly had to delete his stories at the insistence of his mother’s lawyer. Nevertheless, they are now circulating on social media:

Threats and police intervention due to physical assault

“When my parents divorced in 2015, my mother threatened me that if I didn’t live with her, she would stop my life’s dream – that is, the dream of becoming a racing pilot – and she would not sign any other documents that were necessary due to the alternating care of both parents ,” David further described the difficult relationship with his mother. However, despite her threats, he said she was not mentally stable enough to take care of him most of the time, so he often ran away to his father. “There was even an incident where she wanted to take me away from my dad against my will. Everything got so bad that we had to call the police because she physically attacked the father and kept beating him,” Ralf Schumacher’s son described the horrific scene from his teenage years.

David further described that he had already given his mother a second chance several times and tried to repair his relationship with her, but to no avail. She considers her fragile mental health, which is on a swing, to be the main culprit. “Her constant accusations of my father inoculating me against her have nothing to do with the truth. Dad, on the other hand, always tried to do his best for me to have a good relationship with my mother. For years, he told me again and again to give her another chance,” David defends his father. On the contrary, he called the mother’s current behavior shameful. “Please, finally leave us alone so we can live our lives – and we’ll leave you alone too!” the young Schumacher urged his mother at the end.

A serious conflict connected with domestic violence and mutual name-calling is now also being solved by the well-known impersonator Petr Jablonský and his partner Lucie Ottová:
