After two consecutive defeats, the outgoing Toulouse champions reunite for the 6th day of the Top 14 with their superstar Antoine Dupont, back from his post-Olympic leave.
To “restore enthusiasm” as Toulouse coach Ugo Mola wishes, what could be better than the highly anticipated return of star Antoine Dupont, his hooks and flashes? The scrum half, crowned with his Olympic 7s title this summer, will finally play again on Saturday against Clermont after a well-deserved vacation. He will be a substitute at kick-off.
This return comes at the right time for Stade Toulouse, beaten at home against UBB (16-12) then at Castres (28-23). Without really doubting his strengths after an exceptional season, double Champions Cup – Top 14 in the end. “We must not put our heads at the bottom of the bucket either. We weren’t far away in the last two matches,” puts third row Anthony Jelonch into perspective.
