Taekwondo Club and BFC Solingen are successful

Solingen. The Taekwondo Club Solingen has achieved the next notable results. At the state championships in Lengerich, where more than 300 martial artists took part, four participants from the city of blades won the title. Ina Hedtfeld, Amina Ay, Akrem Abdalla and Demir Can each prevailed in their weight classes and can therefore call themselves national champions.

“We are incredibly proud of our athletes,” said coach Ayhan Altindag. “They have shown what potential they have. And what they can achieve with hard work.” The coach and his assistant Michael Kraus were not only happy about the title wins, but also the silver finishes for Emina Ceric, Kaan Alparslan and Mohamad Abdalla as well as the third places for Sara Akman and Ivan Lukic. Damian Dawidowicz narrowly missed out on the podium.

Johanna Masmeier also celebrated a great success at the Koga Cup in Wermelskirchen. The judoka from BFC Solingen completed an outstanding tournament in the U13 and, after three victories, was able to take first place in the weight class up to 30 kilograms. The athlete made a strong comeback after breaking her elbow this year.
