The Huelva Provincial Council, through its Sports Service, has subsidized 340,000 euros to a total of thirty-nine senior/absolute Huelva teams for participation in their respective national competitions up to fifth level and the highest competitive level. Teams that have competed in the season from January 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024 have been subsidized. Depending on the competition that the team has competed in, it has received more or less subsidy, as stated in the call that It was launched from the provincial body.

In this way, teams such as Sporting for women, Recreativo de Huelva or San Roque de Lepe, in football; Huelva Comercio or Ciudad de Huelva, in basketball; the La Orden badminton IES, the Pedro Alonso Niño de Moguer handball school, and the Recreativo beach soccer school have received this subsidy.

In the call of the Provincial Council, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd state level competitions were distinguished on the one hand; 4th and 5th level competitions; competitions organized by national sports federations such as Spanish Championships, Spanish Cups, National Leagues developed in one or more days that are not regular leagues; and the competitions organized by the Andalusian sports federations at the highest level of competition.

Finally, participation in international competitions, the number of teams in grassroots categories, understanding this as teams lower than the absolute/senior category, as well as the number of sports licenses of the entity and the number of players from the province of Huelva in its squads are other criteria that have been valued in the subsidy.
