Some Grizzlys teams participated in two badminton competitions on March 23.
The first was held in La Pocatière in the form of a team championship. The cadet and juvenile players were able to walk away with a silver medal. The team was made up of Thomas Nadeau, Charles Théberge, Thomas Samson, Mickaël Gagnon, Valérie Bélanger, Arianne Bernier-Labrie, Florence Gauvin and Catherine Beaumont. She managed to win several games, but finally lost in the final against the team from the Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-La-Pocatière.
The same day, around twenty badminton players represented Louis-Jacques-Casault High School in the fifth and final RSEQ-QCA tournament of the year. Benjamin Talon made it to the final, but suffered a defeat in this match. Six players, namely Étienne Pelletier, Philippe Blais, Louis-Jacob Jean, Antoine Corriveau, Léa Guimont and Marianne Beaumont, lost in the semi-final. Zackary Laflamme and Chloé Thibault both won their consolation final.
In several sections it was the Grizzlys who won, namely Thomas Pelletier, Émile Rivard, Léa Caron and Isaac Lavoie.
Coaches Sébastien Lavigne and Pascale Dubé say they are very satisfied with the results of their players during these competitions. (LOB)
