NFL: Raiders could choose to keep Davante Adam in Las Vegas

In a fluid and unpredictable situation that seems to change every week, Davante Adams could stay with the Las Vegas Raiders rather than being traded, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Adams has received interest from other teams, but as a source told ESPN, it’s not “huge interest” in the veteran.

This lack of interest has more to do with the Raiders’ asking price – a second-round pick and additional compensation – as well as the fact that Las Vegas has said it does not want to pay the remaining money on the contract. ‘Adams.

The Raiders also insisted they wouldn’t trade Adams for the sake of trading him; they are happy to keep the receiver if their conditions are not met.

The Raiders have and will continue to talk with the New York Jets, and sources told ESPN they are also expected to talk Saturday with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are in Las Vegas for Sunday’s game. Other teams like the Bills and Saints have investigated Adams’ availability.

Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said Wednesday that Adams was close to returning from his hamstring injury, adding that “he’s still a Raider.” When he’s healthy and can play, we’ll play him.” The last time Adams played for the Raiders was in Week 3 of a home loss to the Panthers. He has not spoken to local reporters since September 25.
