Why Kylian Mbappé Prioritizes Important International Matches: Insights from French Media

Kylian Mbappé has been one of the football world’s absolute greatest in recent years. He also has his sights set on being named the best and wants to win the Ballon d’Or in 2025.

Because of that, he is said to have informed the French Football Association that he only wants to play important matches, according to Foot Mercato.

This as he wants to be careful with his body and try to avoid injuries.

The large number of games for players at the highest level has recently been criticized by, among others, Manchester City star Rodri, and now Mbappé seems to have come up with his own solution to the problem.

During France’s current national team gathering, the big star is not included either. An absence that was met with criticism after Mbappé visited Stockholm, among other things, where he appeared in pictures at a nightclub.

The 25-year-old was recently injured but played in Real Madrid’s last match and the absence from the national team is due to Mbappé himself not wanting to participate, according to Foot Mercato information.

How this has been received by the French Football Association and the association captain Didier Dechamps is not clear from the French newspaper.

France managed, without Mbappé, to defeat Israel away from home with 4-1 on Thursday. Next, they face Belgium in the Nations League’s A division.
