NFL veteran Joe Flacco gives Colts shocking start as Anthony Richardson fails to prove his stamina

Joe Flacco will once again start at quarterback. Indianapolis ColtsAfter Anthony Richardson failed to prove his fitness in time for today’s game.

Richardson practiced all week to overcome an oblique injury, but is currently deemed unfit to play.

Instead, he will be an emergency QB3 with the 39-year-old Flacco starting under center with Sam Ehlinger as the backup.

Richardson, 22, suffered the injury in the Week 4 win over the Steelers and has now missed 15 of a possible 23 games in just two seasons in the NFL.

Flacco, a 39-year-old veteran, will make his second start of the season against the struggling Titans after impressing with three touchdown passes last weekend.

Since replacing Richardson during the game against the Steelers, Flacco has thrown for five touchdowns and 527 yards, even showing off his legs with an impressive run.

Star wide receiver Michael Pittman, a huge boost for the Colts, is listed as a player for Sunday’s game despite being considered for a trip to injured reserve.

Pittman suffered a back injury and was expected to miss several games, but was instead listed as playing for the Titans’ away game.
