The Rochois shuttlecock, a new badminton club launched in mid-September 2024 by Julie Grall in La Roche-Maurice, is already experiencing great growth. For this first year, it is made up of adolescents and adults. And the 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. sessions on Friday are already almost full! After a month of trial sessions, more than thirty pre-registrations were recorded, confirming interest in this new initiative.
Currently, the club is awaiting delivery of the final posts. “We have invested in temporary facilities which can probably be used for the school,” explains Julie Grall. The annual fee is set at €65, with a reduction to €60 from two registrations per family. Two trial sessions are offered to everyone to test the atmosphere of the club, which places entertainment at the heart of its priorities.
A Christmas tournament is already in preparation, as well as themed evenings to strengthen conviviality. “We play in a good mood, it’s really to have fun,” says a participant, reflecting the state of mind that drives the club.
