Who is Margherita
Born in Brescia on 11 May 1999, resident in Chiari, the Fiamme Gialle athlete graduated in Motor Sciences starts sailing on Lake Iseo at the age of 5. At a very young age she won the world title in the O’pen Bic, Rs Tera and Rs Feva Classes. After a short while the journey on the 29er began, winning the World and European titles with bowman Sofia Leoni. In 2017 Margherita began sailing on foil boats, including the innovative Waszp, and then moved on to the mixed catamaran Nacra 17 as helmsman. In this Class (paired with Stefano Dezulian) in 2022 he won the Italian Championship and second place at the U24 World Championships. In 2024 she joined the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team to participate in the Puig Women’s America’s Cup in Barcelona. If she wasn’t a sailor, Margherita he would cultivate his passion for the mountainsdedicating itself in particular to mountain rescue.
