The Venezuelan Under 15 Judo team, which participates in the South American Judo Championship, Cúcuta, Colombia 2024, earned the respect of the Cúcuta public by winning 8 medals in the women’s category, distributed in: 5 Gold medals, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze, becoming South American champion in the Under 15 category.
In this great participation, the judokas: Lismari Morillo (-36 kg category), Karen Valerio (-40 kg category), Natasha Ramirez (-44 kg category), Fabiana Arteaga (-53 kg category) and Kamila Tangarife (+ category 64 kg), won the Gold medal.
On the other hand, the judoka Yanelis Rodríguez (-58 Kg category), won the silver medal by performing a great fight against the Colombian Pamela Palacios. Likewise, Esmeralda Pariche entered the podium in the -64 kg category, taking the bronze medal.
With these results, Venezuela continues to demonstrate the talent in the minor categories of this discipline, which has been carried forward through a great sports massification project.
