Ederson almost left Manchester City last summer to join Cristiano Ronaldo‘s side Al Nassr. After staying with the English champions, the Brazilian goalkeeper has revealed the decisive conversation he had with Pep Guardiola.
“There was really an offer on the table, it was something that weighed a lot, because it was an unusual offer. I had several conversations with Guardiola and one of them was decisive. I can’t say too much, after what he told me, about the guarantees, the whole process and the development I had with him, all of that was decisive for me to stay at City“, said Ederson has TNT Sports.
Ederson, remember, is in his eighth season at Manchester City, where he arrived in 2017 from Benfica for 40 million euros. The Brazilian goalkeeper’s contract with the English champions expires in June 2026.
