In a match for week 6 of the NFL, Cincinnati wins against New York without much inspiration from the attacks and defenses standing out

NFL Week 6 Sunday Night Football didn’t deliver much excitement for the American football fan. In the duel between New York Giants (2-4) and Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) this Sunday (13), at MetLife Stadium, the visitors came away with the victory by a score of 17 to 7 in a duel between two teams with a situation very complicated season so far.
The Cincinnati franchise did not see its playmakers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins shine like in the last round of the league. Quarterback Joe Burrow completed 19 of 28 passes for 208 yards, rushing four times for 55 yards and a touchdown. Another to enter the end zone running was running back Chase Brown. On defense, edge rusher Trey Hendrickson had two total tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks and three QB hits.
The Giants have not won at home in their three home matches so far. Daniel Jones was 22 of 41 completions for 205 yards and one interception. He also ran for 11 carries for 56 yards. RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. scored his first career TD on 17 carries for 50 yards. The team’s highlight continues to be the defensive unit with seven tackles for loss of yards, four sacks and seven QB hits, with Azeez Ojulari with four total tackles, two of which were solo, two for loss of yards and two sacks.
Now the Cincinnati Bengals will have a duel for the AFC North at home, at Huntington Bank Field, against the Cleveland Browns (1-5), next Sunday, October 20th. On the same day, the New York Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles (3-2) at MetLife Stadium in a match for the NFC East.
The Game: Bengals 17 @ 7 Giants
The game started with the Bengals opening the scoring on the first drive. Burrow led a beautiful campaign and decided to go to the promised land himself in a 47-yard scramble to score the touchdown.
After that, New York’s attack couldn’t fit in and the Giants’ defense started hunting the visiting QB. Then, sacks appeared, Daniel Jones was intercepted in the mouth of the end zone. and the teams exchanged seven punts by halftime, giving Cincy a 7-0 lead.
It was only in the third quarter that the score was changed. With a 16-play drive with a lot of running play, freshman Tyrone Tracy Jr. caught the first TD of his career from the one-yard line. Then, kicker Evan McPherson hit a 37-yard field goal to put the Bengals ahead again.
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Greg Joseph went in to tie the game on a 47-yard shot, but missed the FG, leaving the hosts against the clock. Two campaigns later, the visitors were already within the two-minute warning and on the 30-yard line of the attacking field, when Chase Brown had beautiful blocks and only stopped in the promised land: 17 to 7.
The New York Giants still had a remote chance of seeking an equalizer with just under two minutes left, but even though they arrived in the field goal area, Joseph missed another shot, this time from 45 yards, decreeing the victory for the Cincinnati Bengals.
