The first Finnish ice hockey player, Janne Puhakka, was murdered in Espoo.
According to information to the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, he was shot dead at home in the apartment.
As a forward, he has played in the highest Finnish league and CHL for Espoo Blues.
The tragedy took place in the Finnish city on Sunday evening.
The police were called to the scene by an emergency call from a witness.
The suspected murderer came out of the apartment on his own and the police were able to make a calm arrest.
The police are continuing the criminal investigation and questioning during Monday, they have not wanted to confirm any identities.
According to Ilta-Sanomat, the former ice hockey player Janne Puhakka is the most famous man.
As a forward, he played his last season in 2017/2018 for Gap in the French league.
Brought up in Espoo Blues, he played in the Finnish youth national team and has a bronze from the U18 WC 2013 in Sochi.

He has met Frölunda in the CHL, bland ridigare teammates, Finnish Swedish goalkeeper Christian Engstrand and several Swedish-known Finnish players such as Antti Suomela and Eetu Koivistoinen.

In the past, Janne Puhakka has also received attention for coming out publicly as gay.
