The Red Bull BassLine will be held in the Wiener Stadthalle for the first time. And the line-up is already impressive: last year’s winner Alexander Zverev, who will also lead the seeding list at the Erste Bank Open 2024, is joined by two players, Taylor Fritz and Joel Schwärzler, who are definitely worth it To be there live on Friday evening.
A few weeks ago, Fritz reached the final of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time at the US Open. And is well on his way to qualifying for the ATP Finals in Turin for the second time in his career. Joel Schwärzler won his first ATP Challenger tournament this spring and is currently the best hope in Austrian tennis.
At Red Bull BassLine, six players will compete in two groups of three in an entertaining best-of-three tiebreaker format. Tennis fans in the Wiener Stadthalle can use interactive color ribbons to vote for themselves which players will face each other in the group phase. Within the assigned group, each player plays against each other – a coin toss decides which player starts serving. One thing is certain: The best two athletes will be placed in two groups as group heads based on their world ranking position. The remaining 4 athletes will then be assigned to the groups via fan vote.
The two group winners contest the final. Whoever gets five points first wins the set. This reinforces the dynamics of Red Bull BassLine as well as the rule that there is no difference of two points – i.e. whoever scores the next point at 4:4 to make it 5:4 has won the round.

Fast starters and men with a strong serve have an advantage. But at least the latter applies to Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Joel Schwärzler. In addition to great tennis, DJ Instyle also guarantees a great party atmosphere. It starts at 7 p.m.!
