Pınar Karşıyaka Hosts Saint Quentin in the Second Week of the Basketball Champions League

Karşıyaka Basketbol, ​​one of our assertive representatives in the FIBA ​​Basketball Champions League, will take the stage in the second match of the 2024-25 season.

Our representative will host Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball at home this evening (Tuesday, October 15).

This challenging match, which will be played at Karşıyaka’s home, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Sports Hall, will start at 19.30. The match will be broadcast live on Tivibu Spor screens.

Karşıyaka, which changed its name this summer due to the expiration of its sponsorship agreement after many years, nevertheless made important reinforcements to its squad.

Extending the contract of experienced star Errick McCollum for another year, the Izmir team strengthened its squad with important transfers such as Fatts Russell, James Webb, Jerry Boutsiele, Sean McDermott, Muhsin Yaşar and Damien Jefferson.

The Izmir team, which played a total of seven matches during the preparation period, gave positive signals about the new season by winning six of these preparation matches.

Karşıyaka, which played two matches in the new season in the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League, lost to Bahçeşehir College with a score of 82-68 in the first week match.

Finally, in the match played last weekend, Karşıyaka got its first victory in the league by beating Merkezefendi Belediye 105-88.

In the Basketball Champions League, our representative hosted its strong rival Lenovo Tenerife in its first match in Group C. The Izmir representative lost the match with a score of 76-87.

The Izmir representative, who is in Group C in the regular season this year, will face Kolossos and La Lagune Tenerife, as well as Saint Quentin.

French representative Saint Quentin got three wins in four matches in the French League ProA. The team, which beat AS Monaco and Nancy at home and Le Mans away, lastly hosted Cholet last weekend and lost the match with a score of 82-59.

In the first week of the Basketball Champions League, Saint Quentin hosted Kolossos and achieved a comfortable victory of 84-54.
