Tom Brady becomes minority shareholder of the Las Vegas Raiders

Tom Brady‘s purchase of a minority stake in the NFL: Raiders defeated Chargers in final play in overtime”>Las Vegas Raiders was approved by NFL team owners Tuesday.

A seven-time Super Bowl champion, Brady played 23 seasons in the NFL, with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He takes control of about 5% of the Raiders.

Brady was expected to get 24 of 32 votes, which take place during the league’s annual fall meetings.

The deal was completed in May 2023, but it took 17 months for the owners to give approval amid concerns that Brady would receive too big a discount from Raiders majority owner Mark Davis.

Brady’s new position as an analyst with Fox was also an issue, as it could represent a conflict of interest.

Last April, the 47-year-old American indicated that he was open to making a return to play if a team called on his services.
