⏱ Halftime: Brazil plays poorly, irritates the fans, but beats Peru

At the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília, the Brazilian team beat Peru 1 x 0, this Tuesday (15), in the tenth round of the South American Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

In general, the first half was warm. Brazil had, once again, a lot of difficulty creating and finishing, making a lot of mistakes in the last pass, with a very low intensity and no verticality.

To make matters worse, the Seleção still had a big scare. In the 11th minute, Flores was thrown onto the back of the Brazilian defense and appeared free in front of Ederson to score. The luck is that the Peruvian was very offside.

When they managed to exchange some vertical passes, Brazil almost opened the scoring, after Raphinha’s bomb hit the crossbar.

However, to Dorival & Co.’s relief, Igor Jesus tried to dribble inside the area, and the ball hit defender Zambrano’s hand. The penalty was only awarded after a long consultation with VAR.

Raphinha, however, displaced the goalkeeper and opened the scoring for the Brazilian team.

Despite the partial victory, the Brazilian fans showed a lot of irritation with the slowness of the team and the lack of intensity of the players.
