The Sharjah Sports Council Junior Football Championship begins on Friday

The Sharjah Sports Council Football Championship for juniors under 10 years will start on Friday, with the participation of 100 players representing 5 clubs: Al Bataeh, Al Hamriyah, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid and Al Madam. The tournament competitions will continue until December 24, when the winners in the first three places will be crowned with cups and medals.

The tournament aims to discover talented people, sort them, and develop their skills through contact and increasing rapprochement between club players. The first round matches will begin against Dibba Al-Hisn and Al-Hamriyah at the former stadium, while Al-Bataeh will host the Al-Dhaid team. The matches will begin at four in the afternoon, while the second round will be held on Friday, November 1. It will host Madam Dibba Al-Hisn, Al-Hamriya will host Al-Bataeh team, while Al-Dhaid will rest in that round.

The tournament regulations stipulate the registration of 20 national players for each team, ensuring all logistical and medical equipment for the matches and medical qualification for each player in the approved examination for each team, and the matches will be held in a single-round tournament.

Muhammad Obaid Al-Hussan, Director of the Council’s Sports Affairs and Development Affairs Department, confirmed that the tournament is of great importance in sorting out talented people and continuing to raise the levels of the teams, and it is constantly monitored by His Excellency Issa Hilal, Chairman of the Council.
