The Bills gave the Browns a third-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft in return, in addition to trading a few late draft picks, said the source, who requested anonymity because the transaction has still not been finalized. not been confirmed.

The day before, the Bills (4-2) consolidated their hold on first place in the Eastern section of the American Association by defeating the New York Jets (2-4) by a score of 23-20.

The Bills also acquired a sixth-round pick in the 2025 draft, and gave the Browns a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Cooper, who is 30, is on his 10e season in the NFL – and his third with the Browns, who are struggling on offense under quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Cooper caught 24 passes in 53 opportunities for 250 yards and two touchdowns. These came in a 21-15 loss to the New York Giants in the third week of the season. He was also limited to 12 catches for 137 yards over the last three games.

His arrival in Buffalo will fill the void left by the departure of wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who was traded to the Houston Texans, and Gabe Davis, who became a free agent.

Cooper is in the final year of his contract, which had to be restructured last summer.
