The general meeting of the Compagnie d’Arc des Abers was held on Saturday October 5 at the Espace Racine. The association has 55 members, including 30% young people and 30% women. The workforce is stable. Beginner registrations are still open for this season. However, we are limited in the number of places, because training takes place in a limited space in the courtyard of Kerzouar primary school.
said Isabelle Le Roux, president of the club.
The certified club
The president took stock of the past season, with numerous podiums obtained by members in competitions and championships, both indoors and outdoors.
In January 2024, in Trévisquin, the club hosted the final of the Finistère indoor archery championships with the participation of the 150 best archers in the department.
At the end of 2023, the club obtained the “quality and sporting” label from the French Archery Federation.
All members of the board of directors present at the meeting renewed their mandate. Two new members join the board of directors: Christine Delavallée, assistant secretary and Mégane Costiou, vice-president.
Committed young people
Also note the signing of two young archers from the club, Guillaume Arzel and Matéo Delarose. They follow training one weekend a month to obtain the federal coaching diploma, thus allowing us to have three qualified coaches in the club,”
welcomed the president. Next meeting, Saturday January 4 and Sunday January 5: the club will organize an open competition, as well as a departmental challenge for chicks and beginners in May.
