“Did she win Wimbledon?” criticize Krejčíková. But the Czech grounded them in a flash

The black series of defeats on the account of Barbora Krejčíková causes embarrassment among tennis fans. Some of them attacked the Wimbledon champion on social networks, but the native of Ivančice did not give in.

If someone asked the two-time Grand Slam champion how she would name this season, she might say: “roller coaster”.

After a solid start to the year and participation in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, a miserable spring and a long series of losses in the very first match came due to injuries. At that time, she was waiting for six matches to win.

But in July, she pushed the tennis train to the imaginary Olympus at the All England Club when she dominated Wimbledon. And since then, gravity has been mercilessly pushing her to the ground again.

After not even catching up in China after the early end at the US Open, she is reading harsh comments about herself on social networks from haters.

“How could Krejciková win Wimbledon?” wrote one of them on the X network.

But it is there that the Czech tennis number one is very active, she often writes with her fans there and she did not forgive herself for a quick reply here.

“I won seven matches in a row. That’s how I won it,” she wrote, garnering a lot of praise for her quick “slap” on the hater.

Krejčíková has a reason to stay on top of things. Despite the fact that without the seven victories at Wimbledon, her balance in the season would be 11:13 in matches and that she is currently fighting for a place in at least the top twelve of the ranking, she should still not miss the participation in the final Tournament of Champions in Riyadh.

A special WTA rule says that it is enough for this year’s Wimbledon champion to reach the 20th place in the ranking, and she will still get a ticket to the tournament of elite players.

Krejčíková has a chance to reverse the statistics of three more lost matches in a row this week in Ningpo, China. As the fourth seeded tennis player of the tournament, she has a free draw in the first round and will only play in the next.
