Jakarta –
Francesco Bagnaia has the potential to add his third world title this year. But in order for his name to become stronger as a MotoGP legend, Bagnaia must be able to win against Marc Marquez with the same motorbike specs.
MotoGP legend Giacomo Agostini said Bagnaia had a big challenge ahead of him, one that could make him an international celebrity. First, in the short run against Martin, second against his next teammate: Marc Marquez.
“People fall in love with idols… but idols need equal enemies,” emphasized Giacomo Agostini.

“Pecco has to keep winning over and over again and if he beats Marquez on the same bike he will pass the graduation exam,” he said.
The 15-time world champion believes that Marquez still has the best performance. Even the performance is above the factory team at its current age.
Martin and Bagnaia are only 10 points apart. This will be a tough challenge, where just one wrong turn can determine the outcome.
“(Who will win?) It’s hard to say, they are very good. Maybe Bagnaia has more experience and now entering the final stages, a small mistake can ruin everything,” said Agostini.
“Bagnaia is wiser, Jorge is more dynamic and sexy. This tension is best handled by those who have experienced it… Bagnaia is more used to tension. The others are not, and that is a small advantage,” he added.
After consecutive races in Indonesia and Japan, there is a one week break before the three series races in Australia, Thailand and Malaysia. The season will end in Valencia.
