Elche’s coach, Eder Sarabia, son of Manu Sarabia, is a great cycling fan. Last Tuesday he had an accident with a driver and he did not hesitate to report it on his social networks. The Bilbao technician explains how a car collided with him and a friend while they were traveling on the CCV-715, between Polop and Callosa de Ensarriá.

«All the vehicles were respecting us until one arrived that had previously whistled at us. When he passed by us he tried to intimidate us, even attacking us,” he explains.

Despite the impact he suffered on “the hand and the handle”, the Biscayan managed to maintain his balance. He had, however, to cross into the opposite lane. “Luckily” no vehicles were coming in the opposite direction. “Yesterday I was able to save myself, but there are people who have lost their lives in accidents like this,” he censured.

“I simply want to enjoy the sport and be able to return to my house where my wife and daughter are waiting for me,” he wrote. The statement serves as a public denunciation and a call to raise awareness and hold responsible all those who travel on the road. “Not one more victim,” Sarabia concluded.
