Spiro Leka is the new head coach of Vulle’s first team. This was announced by the red and white club.
“I’m really happy to return to my second home, Pesaro – he said after signing the agreement – I already know the Vuelle world and I can’t wait to start this new adventure. I’m very happy with the trust the club has in me and I’m really grateful for that. The Serie A2 championship is demanding and presents many difficult challenges but with the daily work in the gym together with the technical staff, and with the full support of the Club which I have already seen in our first match, I am convinced that we will be able to give great satisfaction to all our fans, consortium members and sponsors.”
Leka returns to Pesaro after spending several seasons in Victoria Libertas Basketball: from 2010 to 2013 he was one of the coaches of the youth sector; from 2013 to 2017 he held the role of assistant coach of the team involved in Serie A; in 2016/2017, during the ongoing season, he took over at the helm of Vuelle, leading it to salvation; Leka also remains on the bench for 2017/2018 for 23 games.
From 2019 to 2023, Leka is one of the best coaches in Serie A2: four seasons for him with Kleb Ferrara, together with whom he reached the playoff semi-finals in 2020/2021.
Now he returns to Pesaro, after having resolved the relationship that tied him to Columbia University as a consultant for the top university championship.
