10.-Oktoberfeier in St. Nikolai

Traditionally, the Carinthian referendum of 1920 is commemorated on October 10th. This is also the case in St. Nikolai-Glanhofen. Due to the pouring rain, the memorial service took place after the wreath-laying ceremony by the deputy district captain. Robert Derhaschnig and Mayor Martin Treffner took place in the village community center. The Protestant pastor Max Reisinger and the new Roman Catholic. Pastor of St. Urban, Robert Wurzer, held the ecumenical service. The two kindergarten children Martin Moser and Henrik Schneider recited a poem suitable for the celebration. The two had rehearsed this with their kindergarten director Daniela Strohmayer. The October 10th celebration was organized by the municipality of Feldkirchen. Participants: Feldkirchen town band, the torch-carrying fire brigade youth, defensive fighters and comradeship association, Höfling double quartet, Glanhofen kindergarten & primary school, delegations from the fire brigades and the Red Cross, Feldkirchen farmers’ costume group, Feldkirchen citizens’ and gold hood women, St. Nikolai-Glanhofen village community, customs group Ossiach Tauern. In addition: the deputy mayors Isabella Breiml & Siegfried Huber, the city councilors Christoph Gräfling & Helmut Kraßnig and many more
