After a scathing elimination in the first round of the playoffs, the Lakers failed to strengthen themselves during the summer. Rob Pelinka should therefore be active this season, and a big name is already in the rumors.

The seasons follow one another and are similar among Lakers… Indeed, no matter the number of signings made during the summer, the franchise tirelessly finds itself in transfer rumors from the first days of competition. Being such a prestigious and ambitious institution comes with its share of small drawbacks, including this one.

In terms of targets that the Lakers could pursue when Rob Pelinka decides to fill the holes in the squad, my sources within the league regularly talk about Kyle Kuzma, Cam Johnson and Dorian Finney-Smith of the Nets, Walker Kessler and even Bruce Brown. Another name to watch is Zach LaVine, who has been very good in the preseason with the Bulls.

Chicago and the Lakers already began preliminary discussions over the summer, and my sources are confident negotiations will resume during the regular season if LaVine stays healthy. The Lakers will need to rebalance this squad.

The season NBA is not there yet as the Lakers are already in the transfer rumors. It must be said that the squad does not necessarily make you dream on paper, and to hope to play for the title, reinforcements will be needed in important positions. Rob Pelinka has reportedly had Zach LaVine in his sights since the summer, making the guard a name for fans to follow. After missing out on numerous stars on the market, will the Lakers get their mojo back?
