These African Championships are qualifiers for the 2025 Worlds in Qatar. DR

The Algerian pair composed of Jellouli Milhane and Kessaci Amina qualified for the final of the individual events (mixed doubles) of the African table tennis championships taking place in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), beating their Nigerian counterpart ( 3-2), during the semi-final played on Wednesday evening.

In the other semi-final of the event, the Egyptian pair Abdelaziz Youcef/Alhodaby Mariam took over their compatriots Helmy Mahmoud/Fathy Hend with a score of 3 to 1.

The final will take place this afternoon from 5:00 p.m. This Thursday day of the African Championships in Addis Ababa is also devoted to the single events which will see the entry into the running of Kherouf Samir, Bella Maheidine and Jellouli Milhane for the men as well as Lynda Loghraibi, Kessaci Amina and Nasri Malissa for the ladies.

The Algerian table tennis selection, it will be recalled, won the team silver medal (men), while its female counterpart was satisfied with the bronze medal after reaching the semi-finals of the events by teams.

Algeria is taking part in the African meeting in Addis Ababa with eight table tennis players (gentlemen and ladies).

As a reminder, these African Championships in Addis Ababa are qualifiers for the 2025 Worlds in Qatar.
