Skylar Mays Joins Fenerbahçe Beko: What This Means for the Team and Fans

Our Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team reached an agreement with United American guard Skylar Mays (1997, 1.93), who played for the NBA teams Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers in the last four seasons, until the end of the 2024-25 season.

Who is Skylar Mays?

Skylar Mays, who was born in Louisiana on September 5, 1997, played for Louisiana State University in her college career. Mays, who performed successfully in the LSU Tigers organization between 2016-2020, stood out with his averages of 16.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists, especially in the 2019-2020 season when he graduated.

Mays, who was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with the 50th pick in the second round in the summer of 2020, had NBA experience with the Atlanta Hawks between 2020-22, while also competing in the G-League with the College Park Skyhawks.

Skylar Mays, who played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, played with the Delaware Blue Coats, Mexico City Capitanes and South Bay Lakers in the G-League.

The American player was on the roster of Minnesota Timberwolves, one of the NBA teams, at the beginning of the 2024-25 season.

The successful guard played in 105 NBA matches throughout his career, averaging 4.3 points, 1.7 assists and 1.2 rebounds in these competitions.

2023-24 (Los Angeles Lakers): 17 games, 4.5 minutes, 1.3 points, 0.6 assists, 0.4 rebounds

Mays played one of the most effective games in his NBA career with Portland jersey against the Sacramento Kings on November 9, 2023, and produced 18 points and 11 assists in this match.

Skylar Mays, who can play in both guard positions, is a name that can contribute to the score when necessary, in addition to her field vision and passing ability.
