Coach prepared a game with Pevidém with the internationals, but should save money in the Cup
The preparation for tomorrow’s match, against Pevidém, has already included all the players who were at the service of their respective teams in the last competitive stop. Otamendi, Bajrami, Bah, Leandro Barreiro, Amdouni and Schjelderup were already at the Benfica Campus yesterday, but it is not guaranteed that everyone will be part of the delegation for the confrontation with the Portuguese Championship emblem.
The Reds coach could make some changes to what has been the usual eleven and give opportunities to elements with fewer minutes. For example, Samuel Soares and Bajrami, who have not yet made their debut this season in the main team, could be introduced in the duel with Pevidém, which will be played in Moreira de Cónegos (8:15 p.m.).
On the other hand, expectations of Renato Sanches being able to go to the game decreased. The midfielder is in the final stages of recovery from an injury to his right thigh, but should still be rested tomorrow. Prestianni, who was injured while playing for Argentina’s under-20 team, will also miss the match. Tiago Gouveia, we already know, remains out of the plans.
