Eduardo Najri is the new president of the Chosen One

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic.─ The Chosen Baseball Club held its Ordinary General Assembly and established its Board of Directors for the 2024-25 period, electing Eduardo Alberto Najri Molini as the new president of the organization.

In addition to Najri Molini, the Lions Board of Directors is made up of Felipe Augusto Vicini, vice president; Fernando Armenteros Márquez, treasurer; Luis Armando García; secretary and as directors José Miguel Bonetti Du-Breil, Luis Manuel Bonetti Veras and Alfredo Najri Nadal.

Also elected were Marcial Najri, substitute for the president, Kai Peter Shoenhals, substitute for the vice president, Roberto Bonetti Pastoriza, substitute for the treasurer, Otto Antonio Obritzhauser, substitute for the secretary and as substitutes for the directors Luis Manuel Bonetti Mesa, José Luis Venta and José Antonio Najri.

Upon being sworn in, Najri Molini said he felt honored to assume the presidency of a team like the Chosen One, with a 103-year foundation, a winning and family tradition.

“It gives me great joy to assume this privilege of being president of the Chosen Team, a team that I have loved all my life. I assume this responsibility with enthusiasm and with the commitment to continue working so that the franchise maintains the legacy of excellence, order and tradition that has characterized it throughout its history,” said Najri Molini.

“The goal is to win more championships and we will work tirelessly so that the chosen family raises their pride in the Lions even more,” he continued.

During the meeting, the outgoing president Luis Manuel Bonetti Veras presented a report on his management to the assembly.

Since the current group that makes up the Chosen Board of Directors took over the organization in 2009-10, the Lions have won four national crowns and two Caribbean series.
