Man United’s Coaching Search: Two Prominent Candidates in the Spotlight

Erik ten Hag‘s being or not being at Manchester United is a constant thread and before the national team break, there were unanimous reports that the Dutchman could have done his part at the club.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case and before on Friday ten Hag met the media before the team’s meeting with Brentford on Saturday.

However, this has not caused the speculation to subside and earlier on Friday, for example, the Daily Mail came up with information that claimed that Thomas Frank is a top candidate to succeed ten Hag.

Now the German Bild also comes with information about Manchester United’s alleged coach hunt. According to the information, the club has drawn up a list of three potential candidates, who may be relevant if ten Hag is fired.

Of these candidates, former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic is singled out as one of the options. In fact, Man United are said to have already contacted Terzic’s representatives to probe the terrain.

Terzic is currently without a club after leaving Dortmund at the conclusion of last season. Among other things, he was involved in bringing the club to the Champions League final last spring.

Later on Friday, German Sky also came with information about Manchester United’s coaching search. According to this information, “The Red Devils” are one of the clubs that have caught the eye of Sporting boss Ruben Amorim, who has been linked with Man City, among others.

According to Sky’s information, Manchester United have made initial contacts regarding Amorim and his current situation, this because the club is said to want to be prepared if ten Hag is fired, although there is confidence at the moment.

In the same vein, however, Amorim himself is said not to be particularly keen to leave his current assignment during the current season because he has “big ambitions with Sporting”. However, Amorim has a buyout clause, which can be activated after the season.
