Youth football suspended due to bad weather, the two advance matches in group A of the Eccellenza championship and the one in group G of the First Category involving the Treviso have been postponed to a later date. The heavy rains of the past few days and those expected in the next few hours have led the FIGC Veneto to issue a statement to affirm the suspension of all regional, provincial and district championships for the third weekend of October, including Sunday morning. Everyone on the field regularly on Sunday afternoon. This is the note:
«Given the continuation of the adverse weather conditions, having consulted the Board of Directors and the Provincial and District Delegations, in order to preserve the physical integrity of the athletes, managers and referees and to protect the playing fields, the Veneto Regional Committee decides on the suspension, for as per its responsibility, of the men’s and women’s 11-a-side football matches, of the Regional, Provincial and District activities starting from today, Friday 18/10/2024, Saturday 19/10/2024 and Sunday morning 20/10/2024 ( regional and provincial activity).
All advance requests are canceled and the scheduled races will be postponed to a date to be defined. Any other decisions will be communicated tomorrow, Saturday 19 October 2024.”
The matches affected by the postponement are all those of the regional, provincial and district youth sectors, and two matches in Group A of Eccellenza scheduled for Saturday 19 October 2024: the Albignasego – Mestrino United derby and Unione La Rocca Altavilla – Limena.
