Devriş Deniz, the technical manager of Yeni Malatyaspor, who lost 3-0 to Ankaragücü in the 9th week of the Trendyol 1st League, made a statement at the end of the match.

Yeni Malatyaspor Technical Officer Devriş Deniz stated that the football players were very affected by the earthquake.

Reminding the management’s application to the Turkish Football Federation not to continue the league, Deniz said:

“The earthquake affected our players very psychologically. We suffered from it in the first half. There is great damage to our facility. The condition of the field is problematic. How will we train and prepare for the match in this position? TFF should evaluate this. It should evaluate for Turkish football, not for Malatyaspor. It is obvious. “There is the reality of the earthquake. How will the teams coming there, how will we stay in the facilities? It’s all a problem. We were going to play in Malatya after this match, but we don’t know what will happen now.”

Stating that the facilities were damaged in the last earthquake, Deniz emphasized that if there is a withdrawal from the league, TFF should give permission for the transfer of Yeni Malatyaspor players.

Deniz also thanked the MKE Ankaragücü fans and added that they received the support from the yellow-dark blue fans that they had never seen in any other stadium.
