With an emotional march and conference, they commemorate the Day against Breast Cancer in Apatzingán

Apatzingán, Mich., October 18, 2024.-
Within the framework of International Breast Cancer Day, the municipal president, Fanny Arreola Pichardo, led a march and later a conference with the name: “The prevention and care of breast cancer”, which seeks to raise awareness and educate about the importance of early detection and health care.

The tour began at the Municipal Palace, passing through the historic center and concluded at the Constitución Theater, to begin with the talk by the director of the Health Center, José Juan Solorio Sepúlveda; as well as the graduate, Ma. Del Pilar Ochoa, from the Oncology Department of the Ministry of Welfare, on the risk factors, prevention, detection and warning signs of this disease.

For her part, the municipal president, Fanny Lyssette Arreola Pichardo, highlighted that “the struggle of women is not just one, it is everyone’s” therefore, she urged women to form a large support network with the purpose of raising awareness among the community about the importance of early detection and preventing more women from dying every day.

In the same context, Arreola Pichardo indicated that through the Department of Substantive Equality directed by Rossana Chávez, psychological and follow-up therapies are provided for women and their families living with the disease.
