With its sights set on repeating the title obtained in the last edition of the National Sports Games, the badminton delegation from Merida is preparing with multidisciplinary training to face this sporting event that will take place in the eastern part of the country, on the 8th. to November 26.
The coach of this Andean delegation, Bladimir Guillén Rojas, said: “We are very excited and happy for the work we have done for this new participation to once again leave the name of the state at the top.”
Badminton players from Mérida will travel in the first advance to demonstrate their skills in the Monagas state, in the five modalities of this discipline.
The local delegation is made up of Gleymar Sánchez, Masiel Zambrano, Marcos Valera, Ángel Urdaneta and Jonathan Molina.
Guillén recommended to the Mérida athletes that they give 100% of their knowledge with self-control and fun so that they fight for the colors of Mérida.
The player Ángel Urdaneta, who has been practicing discipline since he was 9 years old, explained that they have trained with great effort and discipline with their teammates ahead of this national event.
