A press conference was held at the Strahov secretariat to sign a partnership agreement between the International Football Foundation and Škoda Group, which was represented by its top management.

“We are very pleased to be working with the Football Internationals Foundation, which is doing a great job looking after those who wrote the history of our sport. Football has a special place in our society and we see the importance of supporting players who have dedicated many years of their careers to bringing joy to fans and making our country visible on the international stage. It is our opportunity to recognize their achievements and participate in projects that not only preserve football heritage,” stated Petr Novotný, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Škoda Group.

“We are trying to reach out to important companies to become long-term partners of the Foundation of Football Internationals, to help support former representatives so that they have a dignified life after the end of their active career, especially in retirement. That is why we are very pleased that we managed to acquire one of the most traditional and renowned Czech companies Škodu Group. I believe that this new connection will be solid, mutually inspiring and will lead to a positive society-wide perception of football internationals,” emphasized Antonín Panenka, chairman of the board of directors of the Football International Foundation.

Petr Novotný and Antonín Panenko subsequently signed a partnership agreement with the assistance of photojournalists and TV camera crews, and at the end of the informal press conference, they answered questions from the media representatives present.
