It’s official! Tlaxcala already has its own Archery School

TLAXCALA, Tlax., October 19, 2024.- The state of Tlaxcala already has its own Archery School attached to the World Archery México, which will open its doors to the general public starting November 1 and is located in the La Loma Xicohténcatl neighborhood in the capital of Tlaxcalteca.

From the Blas Charro Carvajal Sports Unit of La Loma Xicohténcatl, Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros inaugurated the Tlaxcala Archery Development Academy accompanied by Tom Dillan, general secretary of World Archery, Gabriel Ramos, president of World Archery México, and Daniel Moncayo Cervantes, director of the Tlaxcala Sports Institute (IDET).

In her message, the state president maintained that she will continue with different actions to consolidate Tlaxcala and Mexico as a power in Archery, in addition to the fact that an economic impact of 2 billion pesos has been recorded in the nine international sporting events in the state.

For his part, Daniel Moncayo Cervantes highlighted that the new Archery School will join the different sports training institutions that already operate in the entity, so it will open its doors to the public as of November 1 and The remainder of October will be a registration period.

At another time, Mayor Alfonso Sánchez García assured that the Archery academy is a significant event for the municipality of Tlaxcala and the entire state, as a new boost will be given to the sport from a remodeled and first-class space in the Blas Charro Carvajal complex.

In their speech, Tom Dillan and Gabriel Ramos recognized the work of Governor Lorena Cuéllar to promote sports and presented her with a commemorative medal.

The inauguration of the Archery complex was also attended by Mexican athletes Samuel Molina, Paralympic athlete, Carlos Javier Rojas, Máximo Lot and Bruno Martínez.
