The Gran Canaria Basketball Club has reached a collaboration agreement with the Canarian company modaBIM, founded in 2021 by Juan Pedro Dyangani Ose and Eduardo Silva Hernández, and specialized in the audit, advice and creation of sustainable projects and initiatives, with a technological structure based on innovation, digitalization and sustainability.

The club will actively collaborate with the tokenMYs project, an ecosystem made up of an application and a corporate web environment, whose mission is to facilitate the implementation of the 5th container or the organic waste container. The app encourages the recycling of this waste, in such a way that for each bag of biowaste the user receives a token (digital token that is managed through the app), which can be exchanged for activities, events and promotions with discounts. This entire process simply requires QR stickers, those that stick to users’ bags and those that are in street containers. Currently, the pilot project is being carried out in Arucas.

The club will be present in this ecosystem by offering users tickets with a 30% discount as one of the incentives to use this app that is committed to recycling and sustainability, two components that match the club’s social project ‘Commitment Granca’.
