Sport and disability: sports camps and inclusion with the Real Eyes Sport association

GALLARATE – From swimming to alpine skiing, through water skiing and athletics. There are numerous activities that Real Eyes Sport offers to blind children. Real Eyes Sport is a non-profit amateur sports association born in 2019 from the idea of Daniele CassioliParalympic athlete blind since birth and multiple European and world champion in water skiing. The association’s mission is to promote and organize sporting and physical activities for people with disabilities, with special attention to children and young people with visual disabilities.

Real Eyes Sport deals with many disciplines: in addition to basic physical activity, the association offers swimming, water skiing, alpine skiing, athletics, football, baseball, roller skating, fencing and climbing. By organizing summer and winter camps, the association demonstrates how sport and disability are not at all incompatible: with a sense of inclusion and sharing, these activities aim to break down emotional, physical and cultural barriers, bringing us closer to Paralympic sports, including tennis, baseball, mini baseball, climbing and water skiing.

The reality operates throughout the national territory, offering the possibility of starting physical activities that not only promote physical well-being, but also opportunities for socialization and inclusion for young people who, otherwise, would risk isolation. Precisely with the aim of promoting the culture of disability and raising awareness on the issue, the association organizes initiatives in schools and sports organisations.

Real Eyes Sport is financed through donations and the 5×1000 contribution, which allows anyone to help support this important mission. Donations can be made via bank account or online.
