In the 200m freestyle, the athlete from Trois-Rivières stopped the clock at 1 min 53.36 s, 1.90 s behind the winner, Siobhan Bernadette Haughey, from Hong Kong.

“I am pleasantly surprised and I think there is still a lot of room for improvement. I can’t wait to see what happens in the coming weeks,” continued the 25-year-old swimmer.

Friday, in the 100m medley, Harvey achieved a Quebec record (57.82 s) in addition to coming within 0.02 s of the Canadian mark in short course.

She will be back on the starting block on Sunday in the 100m butterfly.
