Serie D basketball: the pride of Barcelona Basketball is not enough to overcome the strong Cefalù

A good performance by coach Restanti’s boys was not enough to obtain an important victory on the Cefalù Basket field, on the first day of the Regional Division championship.

Basketball Barcelona emerged defeated from the Cefalù court after a game played openly, with a score of 81-78 for the home team. After a start in which Cefalù tried to run away, going into the long break at 44-35, the Barcelona team, led by the inspired Varotta and Barbera (authors of 27 and 28 respectively at the end), closed the gap and reopened the match, until it almost hits the mark.

The group’s positive performance remains, considering that the Barcelona team played without a key pivot. The company has already defined the hiring of a Lithuanian, who will complete the green and white roster.

The concentration now shifts to Saturday 26 October when at 6.30pm at PalAlberti Virtus Trapani will be on stage, another team built to aim for the jump in category like Cefalù Basket.
